Is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 510 hp and 700 Nm.
Mercedes-Benz India will launch the Mercedes C 63 AMG S in India on September 3, reports Autocar India. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S is the 10th AMG car in the company's Indian model range, and the 11th member of the company's '15 in 15' product strategy for the calendar year.
The C 63 AMG S was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and is driven by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 510 hp and 700 Nm, and takes just 4 seconds to complete the 0-100 km/h run on its way to an electronically-restricted max speed of 250 km/h.
The output of the rear-wheel drive sedan is accessed by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sports transmission that gets software & hardware revisions for better response over the regular C63 AMG.
Further differences are the electronic rear locking differential, AMG GT-derived dynamic engine mounts and bigger 19-inch wheels.
To differentiate it from the C Class sedan, Mercedes has added an aggressive body kit that leaves it with sportier bumpers, aerodynamic side skirts and a rear diffuser with a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system. A power-dome hood, AMG-branded grille and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels complete the transformation.
The interior is sportier thanks to the sport seats, stainless steel pedals, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, AMG-specific instrument cluster, illuminated door sill plates and AMG-branded floor mats.
The C 63 S will launch through the CBU route, and its main competitors would be the BMW M3 and BMW M4.
