The Creta in this video is the SX variant, fitted with a CRDi diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. According to a leaked brochure, the SX variant will be sold only with the more powerful 1.6-liter diesel engine which generates 128 PS. The same engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission will also be available on the SX+ trim.

However, even the SX variant will offer 16-inch alloy wheels, projector headlights with cornering lights, reverse parking sensors, automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, a Bluetooth enabled 2-DIN music system and dual front airbags.

It is because of the High Pricing… they are not offering AT with SX O,… Let us see after the launch…. Also, in general, I have noted the Pricing to be quite high… for AT they are charging 1 lakh more than the lower variant…..Hyundai is expensive… people are going to make a note of it and here it could happen that Duster will score and sales will increase… also due to high overall pricing Hyundai Creta may see significant number of cancellations…as not able to live upto expectations in terms of price and features…

Why have Hyundai decided not to put the automatic in the top end model ie., SX(O) with all the bells and whistles and safety systems? Are they saving it for later after considering the response to automatic transmission or will the pricing be too high to justify? Hyundai should price it competitively and should consider giving the SX(O) with the automatic gear, since Indian customers have started giving importance to safety systems and automatics and with the fast increase in the number of road accidents and traffic jams customers will surely want to opt for the fully loaded car.
