Will be positioned above the Mobilio in all markets.

Following IndianAutosBlog's rendering of the Honda BR-V crossover, Indonesian website Autonetmagz has also come up with a digital mockup of the BR-V, which is scheduled to be revealed at this year's Indonesia International Motor Show which starts on August 20, 2015.

Bookings for the BR-V will start in Indonesia at its motorshow debut.

Details on the BR-V are limited at the moment. The crossover is announced to feature three-row seating, a 1.5-liter petrol engine and two "advanced" transmission options. Local media reports say that the engine will be the tried-and-tested 1.5-liter i-VTEC unit which produces 118 PS and 145 Nm of torque on the Indonesian-spec Mobilio.

The sketches also show the BR-V to get projector headlights, side body cladding, roof rails and large alloy wheels. The BR-V, Honda says is developed for the Asian markets by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) in Thailand. It is expected to be positioned between the Mobilio and HR-V in markets like Indonesia, and above the Mobilio, but significantly undercutting the CR-V in countries like India where the HR-V is not available for sale.

The Indian premiere of the BR-V is expected to take place at the Auto Expo 2016, and a market launch could follow the same year. For India though, the BR-V will also get the 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine.
