The third generation Skoda Superb was revealed in February, and had its public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the MQB platform, the Superb is 75 kg lighter than its predecessor despite having grown by 80 mm in wheelbase, 47 mm in width and 28 mm in overall length.

Underneath, for the European market, Skoda has announced five petrol engines and three diesel engines, all paired to a 6-speed manual or a DSG, and with a start-stop system as standard.
