Will be made at the Zaheerabad plant in Telangana.
Mahindra has announced that its forthcoming small commercial vehicle, codenamed the Mahindra P601, will be called the Mahindra Jeeto.
The Jeeto will roll out of Mahindra's new extended automotive manufacturing facility at Zaheerabad, Telangana, which was inaugurated this year. The front fascia of the Jeeto was also revealed at the inauguration. Mahindra has invested INR 250 crores in this facility.
Mahindra has little to say about the Jeeto, but describes it as a "versatile new product to cater to the varied needs of the small commercial load segment customers". Speaking of its name, which in Hindi translates to 'Win', Mahindra says it refers to the LCV's "highly efficient performance for last mile distribution of goods".
Interestingly, Mahindra confirms that the Jeeto will be powered by a 'new generation' m_Dura engine which will be a direct injection unit optimized for "refined performance and fuel efficiency".
