The Creta is expected with 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines, a 1.4-liter diesel engine and manual and automatic transmissions.

Hyundai released the design sketches of the Creta last week, and in appearance, the compact SUV looks identical to the ix25 sold in China. Design inspiration comes from the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 language, and according to the company, the Creta features a "bold front, voluminous side and sporty rear".

HMIL have not disclosed additional details of the Creta, but reports state that it will borrow the 1.6-liter VTVT petrol and CRDi diesel engines from the Verna. A base variant with a 1.4-liter CRDi engine could also be offered.
