Expected to come in 4 variants.

An Indian Autos Blog reader has snapped these images of the Hyundai Creta Base, and the Hyundai Creta SX variants, ahead of the July 21 market launch. This follows a report which claimed that the Creta will launch in a total of four variants - Base, S, SX and SX (O) - and gave a brief variant-wise feature build-up as well.

The Creta is expected with 1.4- and 1.6-liter diesel engines and a 1.6-liter VTVT petrol.

As can be seen, the Hyundai Creta Base (with the roof-rack) gets regular halogen headlights, and is devoid of a chrome grille and LED daytime running lights. However, it is equipped with foglights. Over to the sides, the Base gets steel wheels with full wheel covers, body cladding, body-colored door handles and wing mirrors with integrated turn signals.

At the rear though, the Base variant misses out on a rear wiper/washer and a chrome element for the registration plate enclosure.

In comparison to the Base, the top-end Creta SX gets projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, a chrome grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles with smart entry, rear wiper/washer with a micro antenna, and a chrome-embellished rear registration plate enclosure.

The base variant of the Creta could be sold exclusively with the 1.4-liter diesel engine.
