2015 Mahindra XUV500 (facelift) launched at INR 11.21 lakhs [Update]

Mahindra today launched the 'new-age' XUV500, essentially the Mahindra XUV500 facelift, in New Delhi. Prices for the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 are below:

The front fascia of the XUV500 facelift gets a redesign with new headlight enclosures and S-shape LED light guides. The front bumper sees chrome-plated foglight enclosures and a new airdam, while further traces of chrome are to be found on the grille as well.

The 2015 XUV500 also gets new 10-spoke alloy wheels, chrome lining for the windows and two new colors - Sunset Orange and Pearl White.

Inside, the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 gets features such as passive keyless entry with push button start, an electric sunroof with anti-pinch function, logo projection lamps on the wing mirrors (a-la Range Rover feature), 6-way power adjustable driver seat, a 7-inch touchscreen navigation system with reverse camera, Mahindra BlueSense app (which allows users to control HVAC and infotainment system from their mobile phones anywhere inside the car), dual-tone black-and-beige dashboard, beige leather seats and 'Icy Blue' lighting.

Coming to the engine, the new XUV500 continues with the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Engineers have improved the dynamic torque and also improved the fuel efficiency of the SUV (up from 15.1 km/l to 16 km/l) thanks to a new ECU. A Brake Energy Recuperation System is also fitted on the XUV500 now.

Finally, an enhanced suspension at the front and rear promises all-round stability and better comfort. The XUV500 facelift also gets ESP-9 with rollover mitigation system for better control.
