Renault India will launch the Lodgy MPV on April 9 in New Delhi. The Lodgy marks the first major launch for Renault India after the Duster's introduction in July 2012. Post the launch of the Lodgy, Renault will introduce its small car codenamed 'XBA', with reports stating a launch by June 2015.
The Lodgy is powered by the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine as the Duster, and will be offered in two states of tunes - 85 PS and 110 PS. The 85 PS model makes 200 Nm of torque and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission whereas the 110 PS version churns out 245 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 85 PS model is good for 21.04 km/l while the more powerful 110 PS returns 19.98 km/l. At the time of launch, both these models will be available in a top-end trim only, certain reports have stated.

Renault will offer two seating configurations on the Lodgy: an 8 and a 7 seater. The 7-seater gets comfortable Captains chairs for the second row with airplane-like foldable trays. Other features on offer include roof mounted AC vents for the second and third row, a touchscreen Media NAV system, alloy wheels, optional leather seats, ABS and dual front airbags.
