Honda City VX(O) with touchscreen AVN system launched in India - IAB Report

A new color is added to the line-up as well.

Honda Cars India have launched a new top-end variant of the City. The City VX(O) is available with petrol and diesel engines, and is priced and positioned above the existing VX grades. Ex-showroom, New Delhi prices of the City VX(O) are INR 10.64 lakhs for the petrol and INR 11.83 lakhs for the diesel.

Honda has also inducted a new White Orchid Pearl color in the City line-up.

The AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) system in the new City is a 15.7 cm touchscreen unit capable of satellite-based voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, DVD/CD Playback, Bluetooth, USB, AUX-in, i-POD, MP3, FM/AM and Rear Camera Display with Guidelines. The system also supports on screen dialing, answering, history, address book and Bluetooth music play.

Honda is also offering a new immobilizer system on the S grade onwards.

The new City is now available in 14 grades - E, S, SV, V, VX & VX(O) in petrol and diesel variants in manual transmissions, and SV and VX CVT petrol variants. Variants from the S grade will get a new security alarm feature with 2 transmitter keys facilitating keyless entry.

Launched in January 2014, the new City became the fastest mid-size sedan to cross the 100,000 sales figure. Honda Cars India achieved this milestone in 15 months from launch.
