The Lodgy is the first of two major launches for Renault India this year, the other being the XBA small car.

The model here is the top-end RxZ variant of the regular Lodgy (there will be a Lodgy Stepway with skid guards and mild body cladding as well). On the outside, the Lodgy gets a chrome rich grille specifically for the Indian market, chrome highlights for the side rub-rails and a chrome garnish for the rear registration plate enclosure. 15-inch alloy wheels complete the list of exterior features.

Inside, the top-end Renault Lodgy gets a dual-tone dashboard, a piano-black center console, chrome highlights for the instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, a touchscreen Media NAV system, and AC vents for the second and third rows.

Tables on the front seat backs, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors and perforated leather upholstery are among other features seen on the Lodgy.

Power for the Lodgy will come from the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K diesel engine, which will be offered in power outputs of 85 PS and 110 PS. A report states that this engine in the Lodgy benefits from electronic updates resulting in smoother power delivery. A 5-speed manual on the 85 PS variant and a 6-speed manual on the more powerful variant will shift the cogs.
