New model brings certain improvements over last year's QUANT E.

At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, nanoFlowcell will unveil a newer version of their QUANT sports limousine - dubbed as the QUANT F. However Chinese auto portal AutoHome has snapped a few images of the car already, while it was being setup for display for the motor show at PalExpo.

Like its predecessor, the QUANT E, the new model is also powered by nanoFlowcell's innovative electric power train, but features certain improvements for better efficiency.

Exterior wise, the design of the QUANT F is almost identical to last year's QUANT E, save for new "QUANTeYES" headlights and a rear spoiler that automatically raises at 80 km/h. The other significant change is an improved carbon fiber monocoque chassis, which now allows for a more spacious interior than its predecessor.

The QUANT F features significant changes to its powertrain. For instance, the nanoFlowcell batteries are now enhanced to continuously feed over 50 amperes of current into the newly developed buffer system of the QUANT F, which can briefly supply over 2,000 amperes when power is required.

The total range has also been increased to 800 km, and the power train is capable of producing a peak output of 1,090 PS for a limited duration. It is paired to a 2-speed automatic transmission, and has an electric motor powering each wheel, essentially making it an AWD car. What's more, the QUANT F now comes with an option where the user can toggle between RWD (where the front axle is de-clutched) and AWD.

NanoFowcell claims that the new QUANT F is ready for homologation for future series production. The exterior is already 100 percent compatible with homologation requirements, while the interior is over 90 percent compatible. The next step for the company is to send out few pre-production units for crash test, which will be carried out in the USA and in Germany.
