Bajaj Pulsar RS200 to feature ABS as standard; FI for top-end variant - Report

Top-end variant will get ABS for the rear wheel as well.

Previous reports said that the forthcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will feature ABS, making it the first Pulsar to come with this safety feature. Now, a report on BikesIndia claims that ABS will be a standard fitment on the motorcycle, touted to be the 'Fastest Pulsar Yet'.

BikesIndia quotes its sources informing that there will be individual ABS setup for each wheel. The base variant will have ABS fitted on the front wheel, while the top-end version will get sensors for each wheel for better control.

In addition to this, the top-end version will also get fuel injection, the publication reports. Just to recap, the RS200 will be powered by the triple-spark, single-cylinder 199.5 cc engine, and will produce 24.4 PS and 18.6 Nm of torque, according to Bajaj's Turkish website. The transmission is a 6-speed unit.

Certain dealers have started accepting bookings for the RS200 against a payment of INR 5,000. Production of the motorcycle has also started at Bajaj's Chakan plant, with a launch reported to take place on March 26.
