Honda posts highest ever monthly sales figure in January 2015 - IAB Report

Managed to push out 18,331 units last month.

Honda Cars India Ltd has announced that they have recorded their highest ever monthly sales figure in January 2015, pushing 18,331 units into the domestic market and exporting 1,369 units to other international markets. This represents a 17% rise in sales in the first month of the new year.

HCIL has also registered a growth of 47% between April 2014 and Jan 2015 with 149,464 units.

Speaking about the brand's performance last month, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, said that:

January 2015 has been an extremely good month for HCIL. We registered our highest monthly domestic sales of this fiscal contributed by strong sales momentum for all the models. We are extremely thankful to our customers for their faith in us and we are confident of a strong performance through the year.

HCIL has also registered a growth of 47% between April 2014 and Jan 2015 with 149,464 units, a step up over the 101,370 units that they pushed out during the corresponding period in 2013-14.

A breakup of the number of cars sold in the last month has been provided, giving us a look at how the models have contributed.

Honda will also be launching the next generation Jazz hatchback in the coming months, which should help best this record.

Recently, the company has hiked the prices of all their models, between INR 15,000 to INR 60,000, thanks to the excise duty roll back for 2015. Honda will also expand the product line by launching the next generation Jazz hatchback in the coming few months, which would no doubt further contribute to their performance this year.
