The platform will underpin Renault XBA and Datsun Redi-Go.

Conceptualised by Renault Laboratoire Cooperatif d’Innovation (LCI), the Renault Value Up concept, an internal study that Auto Express has seen, is reported to be around 3.8 meters in length, and could be placed alongside the Clio, if green lit.

The Value Up concept is also based on Renault Nissan’s CMF A-entry platform.

It will be based on the CMF (Common Module Family) platform, which will underpin the upcoming small car from Renault, codenamed XBA, and features a light weight body (weights 830 kg), a 1-litre 3-cylinder engine with an expected sub-100 g/km of CO2 exhalation, and bench seats.

The internal prototype will be used for further studies, and features from the concept could be made available in future products which could include the XBA and the second generation Renault Pulse (if approved).

On the outside, the 5-door hatchback comes with well-proportioned exterior. It has its wheels pushed to corners, like in the Renault 5, and is targeted at youngsters and female drivers.
