To be the smallest crossover from Ssangyong, the Tivoli (named after an Italian town) was previewed by the XIV design concepts and has been caught testing a number of times.

The Mahindra-owned South Korean carmaker recently released the official rendering of the crossover's exterior and interior. The video shows several disguised test prototypes undergoing intense testing.

The compact SUV will be powered by 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines which are developed jointly with the parent company. The interior is so designed to offer easy connectivity to smartphones and tablets.

Mahindra is still undecided on bringing the Tivoli to India but given that there is a longer 7-seat version in the pipeline, the crossover could find a place above the XUV500.
