It will launch with a 1.2L petrol and 1.3L diesel engine.

Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. G. Ashoka Prathap, has spotted the Tata Bolt with a contrast dashboard in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Derived from the Vista, the Bolt will be the second product from the 'new' Tata Motors portfolio, and will launch in the early part of 2015.

The Bolt could be offered with a contrast dashboard, as seen in this image.

When it goes on sale, Tata Motors will offer the Bolt with two engine options. The petrol motor is the 1.2-liter turbocharged Revotron engine which produces 85 PS (83.8 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque. The Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet diesel makes 75 PS (73.9 bhp) and 190 Nm of torque.

Both engines will come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, though an automated manual transmission (AMT) is on the table for Tata Motors to use anytime.

The hatchback is based on the Vista, and had its reveal prior to the Auto Expo this year.

Inside, the hatchback will get a new three-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls for the music system, a Harman audio system with a touchscreen, touch-controlled functions for the automatic climate control, and the choice of different driving modes (only for the petrol variant).

The driving modes (Sport, City and Eco) alter gently the throttle map of the car to increase the fuel efficiency (in case of the Eco mode), or to give it a better throttle response (in case of Sport mode).
