Features and Specifications – New Mahindra Scorpio

The new Mahindra Scorpio went on sale yesterday. Here’s a look at the features and specifications of the SUV.

Dimensions:

  3. Height: 1,995 mm (1,930 mm in case of 2.5L variant)
  4. Wheelbase: 2,680 mm
  5. Fuel tank capacity: 60 liters

Engine and Gearbox:

New Mahindra Scorpio 2.2-liter mHawk engine zoom-in at the launch

  • Engine Option 1: 2,523 cc four-cylinder m2DiCr turbocharged common rail diesel engine producing 75 bhp @ 3,200 rpm and 200 Nm of torque between 1,400 – 2,200 rpm; 5-speed MT
  • Engine Option 2: 2,179 cc four-cylinder mHawk variable geometry turbocharger common rail direct injection producing 120 bhp @ 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,800 – 2,800 rpm; 5-speed MT
  • Interesting fact: Mahindra have sold over 4.5 lakh units of the Scorpio in India till date.

Suspension, Brakes and Tires:

  • Front: Double wishbone type, independent front coil spring
  • Rear: Multi-link coil spring with anti-roll bar
  • Brakes: Ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear
  • Tires: 235/65 R17; 215/75 R15 for S2 trim
