To come with new three-cylinder engines.
The Mahindra S101 (codename) was spotted on test in Chennai yet again by a reader of Motor Bash. Seen in this test mule are chrome enclosures for the foglights, indicating that the production version too would get them. In India, the placement of chrome near the foglight enclosures, or in the grille, is marketed as a premium touch to the design of the car.
The S101 will be a sub-4 meter length product, and possibly Mahindra's smallest vehicle till date (excluding the e2o which is from the Mahindra-REVA brand). Sources tell Indian Autos Blog that the S101 will have a footprint the size of the Maruti Swift, but its elevated seating position and crossover-like design, will set it apart from other B-segment hatchbacks which it will target in pricing.
Power for the S101 would come from newly-developed three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

Inside, the S101 is expected with features such as dual airbags, ABS, a dashboard-mounted gearlever, a music system with steering mounted controls and electrically adjustable wing mirrors to name a few. The car will go on sale next year.
