The Mahindra Mojo would be launched in the coming months.
With the festive season just around the corner, getting the sales of the newly launched Gusto automatic scooter up and running is high on Mahindra Two Wheelers’ agenda.
The Mojo, which has been in the pipeline for four years now, will be the next product to be launched. Mr. P.S. Ashok, senior VP and head (R&D and Pune operations), Mahindra Two Wheelers, told Indian Autos Blog on the sidelines of the Gusto’s media ride program that the launch time frame of the Mojo depends on the time required to stabilize the Gusto in the highly competitive scooter market.
He however confirmed that the Mojo will be the next product in line, hinting that it would be launched before the end of this year if the Gusto stays on track as far as sales expectations are concerned.
To recap, the flagship 300 cc motorcycle was unveiled at this year’s Auto Expo in its redesigned avatar and has been testing extensively thereafter.
The tourer is powered by a 296 cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine which develops 25.6 bhp and 25 Nm of torque. The fuel injected motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Competitors: KTM Duke 200, Suzuki Inazuma
