The 2015 Mercedes CLA with added power and features has been revealed online.

Considering that the compact luxury sedan is still fresh, Mercedes hasn't changed anything majorly on the appearance front. The 2015 Sports models receive an optional set of 19-inch multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels with a high sheen black finish.

Inside, the updated sedan can be specified with a satin-finish light brown poplar wood trim and the ambient lighting system now offers 12 color choices to choose from.

In terms of equipment, Collision Prevent Assist Plus has been added which is an extension of the current car's Collision Prevent Assist. The new system has an autonomous partial braking function which cuts in to prevent possible rear-end collisions in case the driver fails to react to the visual (warning light on the instrument console) and audio warnings.

The Attention Assist has also been upgraded to operate within an extended speed range of 60 - 200 km/h. The optional KEYLESS-GO and the COMAND infotainment system benefits from improved telematics and an optional 8-inch stand-alone display.

Under the skin, the CLA 220 CDI (2.2-liter diesel) gets an additional 7 PS at 177 PS (174.5 bhp) and 350 Nm of torque. The variant accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds before attaining a top speed of 232 km/h. The fuel economy and CO2 emissions stand at 25 km/l and 104 g/km respectively (in the European tests).

The CLA 180 CDI (with the 1.5L Renault K9K engine) is another variant to get a minor engine tweak. While the output figures stay intact, the base diesel variant now emits only 99 g/km of CO2.

The Mercedes CLA measures 4,630 mm in length, 1,777 mm in width, 1,432 mm height and 2,699 mm in wheelbase.

Mercedes India has announced that the CLA will be launched by January 2015. Given that the vehicle will enter the country via CKD route, India is likely to get the updated version.
