The Land Rover Discovery Sport, which is scheduled to debut on September 3, has been leaked by the way of these scale models. The design shows the production version of the Discovery Vision Concept which was revealed earlier this year at the New York Auto Show and at the Beijing Motor Show as a concept.
The Discovery Sport is the successor to the aging Freelander. However, in the interest of consolidating its products, Land Rover chose to badge the Freelander successor as a 'Discovery'. Unlike its predecessor, the Discovery Sport will actually come with a 5+2 seating configuration, though the overall length of the car would be compact, according to the company.
Power for the SUV should come from JLR's new Ingenium range of petrol and diesel engines. These engines are likely to be four-cylinder motors.

The Discovery Sport is expected to launch by the end of this year in Europe, and it is expected to arrive in India sometime next year.
