IAB Report - Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition launched in Europe

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition with cosmetic enhancements was launched in Europe. The iconic Ninja brand is three decades old now and the special edition model celebrates the Japanese sportsbike manufacturer's victory in the 2013 World Superbike Championship.

The Ninja 300 Special Edition comes with black and silver decals on the trademark Ninja green shade, matching Tom Sykes's SBK 2013 championship winning factory Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. Apart from the decals, the special edition baby Ninja also sports protective fuel tank pad and red rim stripes.

There are no mechanical changes to the 296 cc parallel-twin engine.

The small displacement fully faired sportsbike continues to be powered by the 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin fuel-injected engine that belts out 39 PS (38.45 bhp) and 27 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch.

The smallest Ninja competes with fellow Japanese compact sportsbikes like the new Yamaha R25 and Honda CBR300R.

The Kawsaki Ninja 300 Special Edition is priced at 4,979 pounds (around INR 5.07 lakhs) for the base variant while the ABS version will set you further back by 400 pounds (around INR 41,000).

It is unknown if Kawasaki will introduce the special edition Ninja 300 in India.
