Longer wheelbase set to improve comfort levels of the Swift challenger.

New images showing the rear legroom and boot volume of the upcoming 2015 Hyundai Elite i20 have appeared on Motorbeam. From the looks of it, the new i20 packs in a bit more kneeroom than the outgoing car. Part of this could be because engineers have reportedly increased the wheelbase of the car, while reducing overall length by 10 mm.

The new i20 will feature a longer wheelbase to improve comfort levels.

Also seen in these images is the dashboard and the rear AC vent. Some of the features confirmed (through spyshots) for the new i20 include a multi-function steering wheel, electric adjustment of wing mirrors with power fold function, electrochromatic rear view mirror, engine starter button, automatic climate control system and an integrated music system with AUX-in, USB and Bluetooth.

The Elite i20 seen here is the top-end diesel trim which is powered by the 1.4-liter four-cylinder CRDI engine. A 1.2-liter petrol will also be offered, though the same cannot be said about the 1.4-liter petrol.
