Brochure leak confirms engine options and variants.

Ahead of its national launch today in New Delhi, a leak of the brochure of the Hyundai Elite i20 gives out the variants, features and engine options of the hatchback.

The Hyundai Elite i20 launches today with a petrol and a diesel engine.

The Elite i20 will launch with a petrol and a diesel engine, both carried over from the previous model. The 1.2-liter petrol produces 83 PS (81.8 bhp) and 11.7 kgm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-liter diesel engine makes 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 22.4 kgm of torque and comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

A total of five variants will be on offer: Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta. The base Era is equipped with power steering, front power windows, manual AC and central locking. The Magna adds to this a foldable key, rear parcel shelf, front armrest, a 2-DIN music system with 1 GB internal memory, front and rear speakers, AUX-in, USB, steering mounted controls, rear power windows, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and a cooled glovebox.

A total of five variants will be on offer.

The Sportz sees the addition of a driver airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, electrochromatic rear view mirror, rear defogger, leather wrapped gearlever and steering wheel, wing mirrors with turn indicators and power fold function, tilt and telescopic steering and automatic AC. The Sportz (O) comes with clutch lock, smart key, alloy wheels and chrome door handles.

The top-end Asta is packed with the above features plus front passenger airbag, automatic headlights, rear wiper and washer and a secondary power socket.

Other details such as the pricing and ARAI rated efficiency figures will be announced today.
