The new City CNG is powered by the same 1.5-liter petrol engine.

The CNG system is installed at the factory level says Honda. The tank which is mounted inside the boot can hold up to 65 liters. Mechanical revisions come in the form of a strengthened body structure, a safety lid to prevent reverse flow of CNG while filling and redesigned front and rear suspensions to bear the increased weight.

Power for the City CNG comes from the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine which produces 120 PS (118.3 bhp) at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm. When driven in CNG mode which can be selected via a switch located inside the cabin, the City's engine produces 102 PS (100.5) and 127 Nm of torque.
