It’s been two years since the highly successful Renault Duster set foot in India and the company is celebrating the occasion with the ‘2nd Anniversary Edition’ of the compact crossover.

The Renault Duster 2nd Anniversary Edition comes with an introductory price of INR 8.88 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi, only till July 20). The car is available only with the 83.3 bhp (85 PS) diesel engine, based on the entry level RxE Adventure variant.

The limited edition offers the same features as the Duster Adventure Edition. The list includes the Amazon Green exterior color, front armour with lamps, Neon interiors and smoked headlamps. Other benefits of the 2nd Anniversary Edition are additional two-year warranty (2+2 year warranty / 80,000 km), free ‘Gang of Dusters’ membership and free 4 year roadside assistance.

It is powered by the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that puts out 83.3 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.

In its two year stint in India, the Duster started off strongly and has managed to surpass the 1 lakh unit mark in June. In the first 5 months of 2014, the compact crossover SUV clocked 17,312 units at a monthly average of 3,463 units.

The Renault Duster facelift was unveiled for the international markets in November last year. The updated version is expected to be launched in India at some point in the future.
