IAB Report - Nissan Sunny facelift launched at INR 6.99 lakh

The Nissan Sunny facelift was launched today in Mumbai and here are the prices (INR, Ex-showroom Delhi) -

  • Nissan Sunny Petrol XE - 6,99,000
  • Nissan Sunny XL CVT (Petrol) - 8,91,000
  • Nissan Sunny Diesel XE - 7,99,000

The Sunny facelift gets moderate changes to its looks with redesigned headlamp, grille, wheels and bumpers. The interior sees changes in the form of a piano-black center console, a new 3-spoke steering, updated music system with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse camera, reverse parking sensors, and refreshed fabrics on the seats and doors. In the top-end option pack of the Sunny diesel, leather seats or side airbags are offered.

The Sunny facelift also has changes under the bonnet albeit retaining the 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or CVT, putting out 99 PS when equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and 101 PS with Nissan’s X-Tronic CVT, with a common torque output of 134 Nm.

The diesel engine produces 86 PS and 200 Nm of torque, with the fuel efficiency improving from 21.64 km/l to 22.71 km/l.

The Sunny is offered in a total of 8 variants. The petrol range comprises of the XE, XL and XL CVT, while the diesel model has the XE, XL, XV, XV Premium Pack 1 and XV Premium Pack 2. Standard feature on all variants are driver airbag, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, central locking and tilt-adjustable steering.

From the XL variant onwards, the Sunny facelift comes with body-colored side mirrors, full wheel covers, electrically adjustable side mirrors, 2-DIN audio system with USB, Aux and four speakers, piano black center console, rear power windows, automatic air-conditioning, Bluetooth pairing, reverse parking sensors and steering mounted audio controls.

The top-end XV variant gets front passenger airbag, foglamps, rear (air) vent, rear view camera, keyless entry with push-button start and alloy wheels. In addition, the XV Premium Pack 1 adds the option of leather seats but no side airbags, while Pack 2 comes with side airbags but fabric seats.
