The Mahindra Maxximo Plus facelift gets a revised front fascia.

Only the front fascia of the test mule is camouflaged indicating that the visual changes would be restricted to revised headlamps, grille and bumper. The interior could receive minor updates. The spyshots also show that the Maxximo Plus facelift is testing with loads, suggesting there could be a few enhancements to the powertrain.

The Maxximo Plus is powered by a 909 cc twin-cylinder C2 CRDe diesel engine which develops 26 bhp and 54 Nm of torque. The power is transferred via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle employs Fuel Smart Technology which offers two driving modes - Eco and Power.

The powertrain is also expected to undergo minor improvements.

The Power mode makes all the 26 bhp available for full load operation while the Eco Mode reduces the output to 17 bhp when full power is not required, resulting in a claimed fuel economy of 21.9 km/l. The LCV has a top speed of 70 km/h and a payload capacity of 850 kg.

In addition to refreshing the Maxximo, Mahindra is also working on an all new LCV codenamed P601 which is a size smaller than the Maxximo. The P601 would compete with the Tata Ace Zip. A refreshed Maxximo Mini Van was also spotted by an Indian Autos Blog reader.

Given that the refreshed Tata Ace is already on the market, Mahindra is expected to launch the Maxximo Plus facelift sooner than later.
