The most eagerly anticipated small displacement sportsbikes, the KTM RC390 and KTM RC200, would have their Indian dealer preview in Pune next month, reports "KTM RC390 - India" Facebook fan page (unofficial page) which has been a reliable source of KTM news in India.

The KTM RC200 is nothing but a track-focused fully faired avatar of the Duke 200.

The page also reports that, according to a mail circulated by KTM India, the dealers will start the sales training program for the RC series on August 29, suggesting that the motorcycles would be launching in the month of September.

The RC390 and RC200 are nothing but fully faired versions of the Duke 390 and 200 respectively. While the street fighters offer an upright riding stance, the faired counterparts are characterized by a track-focused aggressive riding posture. The motorcycles have been spotted testing on several occasions.

The RC390 will inherit the Duke 390's 373.2 cc engine.

The KTM RC390 would continue to use the naked version's 373.2 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder fuel-injected engine that puts out a highly impressive 42.9 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. The RC200 would borrow the Duke 200's liquid-cooled 200 cc fuel-injected unit that is good for 25.4 bhp. Both motors come paired to a 6-speed transmission.

Like the Dukes, the RC twins would also be made in India for domestic and international consumption at Bajaj's Chakan plant at Pune.
