The KTM RC200 has started testing without any camouflage hinting at an imminent launch. While the fully faired prototype didn't feature any body decals to give away its identity easily, the full black color theme indicates that it is the RC200 and not the RC390 which is visually differentiated by a white color theme on the faring.

The RC twins have been testing for a while now and the bookings for the duo are expected to commence by the end of August with the launch in September. Both motorcycles will be made at Bajaj's Chakan plant which also builds the naked Duke 200 and 390. The fully faired small displacement sportsbikes will be exported to several countries.

The KTM RC200 is expected to launch in September along with the RC390.

The KTM RC200 is based on the Duke 200 platform and shares its edgy design with the RC390. The sportsbike is powered by the same 200 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel injected engine that puts out 25 bhp and 19.2 Nm of torque. The rev happy motor is coupled to a 6-speed transmission.

Just like the Duke 200, the RC200 would come equipped with WP front and rear suspension systems and sticky Metzeler tyres. The front wheel is retarded by a four pot caliper disc while the rear wheel gets its stopping force from a single pot caliper disc.
