Honda has recently announced a new addition to its commuter bike range, the Honda CD 110 Dream. The 110 cc motorcycle is the third member of the brand's Dream family of commuters, following the Dream Yuga and the Dream Neo.

The motorcycle has an unmistakable Dream family identity with the body graphics design, and silver color theme for engine and alloy wheels being only strong differentiating factors. The bike is positioned in the 'Basic sub-segment' of commuter space which, according to Honda, contributes 70 lakh units per annum.

The CD 110 Dream gets its power from the familiar 110 cc air-cooled Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine which is good for 8.25 bhp and 8.63 Nm of torque. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the most affordable Honda motorcycle delivers a claimed fuel economy of 74 km/l.

The Honda CD 110 Dream is available in three color options – Black with Red stripe, Black with Blue Stripe and Black with Grey stripe. The entry level variant makes do with spoke wheels and kick starter while the top-end variant gets alloy wheels and electric starter. None of the variants offer a front disc brake.

The Honda CD 110 Dream is priced at INR 41,100 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The 'CD' brand was used on the first motorcycle to come out from the collaboration of Hero and Honda. The 100 cc entry-level commuter, launched in 1985, is largely responsible for the position both companies have attained today in India as a sea CD 100 motorcycles were sold, until the 100 cc Splendor, launched in 1994, became the staple for the Indo Japanese partnership.
