Hero Motocorp revamped its entire product portfolio with styling and technology upgrades last year. Not resting on its laurels, the Indian two wheeler stalwart is further working on new products as evident from these spyshots.

The test mule appears to be a load carrying variant of Hero HF Dawn.

Gaadiwaadi.com has caught this fully disguised low cost Hero test mule doing its rounds somewhere in the NCR. The instrument console carries the Hero Motocorp logo thereby confirming the identity of the bike.

The motorcycle on test features basic headlamp, possibly a circular element sans bikini fairing. Spoke wheels, drum brakes, slender fuel tank and a bland taillight, all provide the conclusion that it's a load carrying variant of the HF Dawn. Also the engine, silencer and other cycle parts appear to be derived from the aforementioned motorcycle.

The test bike has a carrier instead of a pillion seat (a removable pillion seat is most likely to be offered) to transport light loads. This feature would be highly preferred by rural customers who use their two wheeler to carry items like milk can, fertilizers, farm produce, etc.

The engine would be the famed 97.2cc single cylinder air-cooled unit that comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Power and torque outputs stand at 7.8 PS and 8.04 Nm respectively.

The new low cost commuter motorcycle is expected to have a stronger rear suspension to withstand the additional payload and hence the testing. Since nothing else seems new in the bike, it is expected to be launched sooner than later.
