While there is no sign of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS FI in the Indian market, the motorcycle has already been listed in the company's official Turkish website. In a latest development, Dewi Setptianti, deputy department head of sales and marketing, PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia, confirmed to Otonity.com that the fuel injected 200 NS would be launched in the country soon.

According to the technical specification published in Bajaj Turkey's website, the fuel injected variant of the naked motorcycle produces 23.5 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque which is same as the carbureted version available in India.

The export-spec model boasts of FI while the Indian version makes do only with new color themes and decals.

Bajaj claims a top speed of 136 km/h for the FI variant, 1 km/h faster than the regular variant. The 6-speed gearbox continues to remain the same. The addition of fuel injection system would give the bike a more responsive throttle, better fuel economy and lower CO2 emission.

Save for the absence of a fuel reserve dial, the 200 NS F1 looks exactly same as the 200 NS. Given that the 200 NS' motor shares its basic architecture (different head unit to accommodate triple sparks) with the KTM Duke 200, we expect the former's fuel injection system to be borrowed from the latter's. The fact that both the bikes are made at Bajaj's Chakan plant further adds gravity to this assumption.

Bajaj's first attempt at fuel injection technology was the Pulsar 220 DTS-FI which was discontinued in a bid to reduce costs and to eliminate service problems. However, Bajaj is now selling fuel injected KTM Dukes and Kawasaki motorcycles in India with its service backup so we wonder what's stopping the company from presenting Indians with the Pulsar 200 NS FI.
