The updated Chairman W offers a standard front camera which employs a fish-eye lens to provide a 180-degree view of what is ahead of the car, to warn the driver of a crossing object. The multimedia infotainment system that was available in the top end Summit variant is now made standard across all the variants.

Notable existing features of the luxury limousine include 10 airbags, electronic parking brake, air-suspension system, power adjustable heated/ventilated seats, electrically adjustable steering wheel and powered trunk lid.

The car's engine options remain unchanged. The Chairman W is available with four petrol engines - three in-line six-cylinder motors and a V8 sourced from Mercedes-Benz - with power output ranging from 194 hp to 301 hp. All engines are paired to Mercedes' 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. The availability of 4-Tronic all-wheel-drive system (Mercedes' 4MATIC) has been extended to more variants.

Mahindra confirmed in 2011 that the Chairman would not be sold in India. Ssangyong's CEO Yoo il Lee said this year that the company's undivided focus would be on the SUV segment, and no successors were planned for the Chairman and Korando Turismo.
