Report - Yamaha to launch 15 accessories for R25 in July

Yamaha launched the Yamaha R25 in the Indonesian market last week, with prices starting at 53 million Rupiah (INR 2.7 lakhs). A report on Indonesia Autos Blog indicates that Yamaha will launch accessories for the R25 by July this year.

The report says that the accessories will enhance the looks as well as the performance of the bike. While visual accessories will come in the form of stripes and decals, performance accessories will include a sport exhaust system and possibly even an ECU remap. A total of 15 accessories would be available for the R25.

To recap, the R25 sources power from a 250 cc parallel twin, 8-valve fuel-injected engine that outputs 36 PS at 12,000 rpm and 22.1 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm, and mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycles measures 2,090 mm in length, 720 mm in width, 1,135 mm in height and 1,380 mm in wheelbase. The R25 weighs 166 kg and has a ground clearance of 160 mm.

The R25 is powered by a parallel-twin 250 cc engine.

The R25 uses a dual piston 298 mm floating disc brake at the front and single piston 220 mm disc at the rear.

Yamaha targets to sell 12,000 units of the R25 in Indonesia in its first year. The R25 is expected to launch in India as well within the next 18 months.
