Suzuki Philippines Inc. launched the Suzuki Ertiga and Suzuki Swift 1.2 in their market this month. Both cars are exported by Maruti-Suzuki out of India.
The Ertiga is available in Philippines only with the 1.4-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which outputs 95 hp at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Suzuki offers a 5-speed manual gearbox on the base GA M/T and GL M/T variants, while the top-end GL A/T and GLX A/T variants get a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Suzuki Swift was already available in the Philippines market with the Ertiga's 1.4-liter engine. Now, the 1.2-liter variant has been launched, and is pitched as a more fuel efficient alternative to the 1.4. The 1.2-liter VVT motor produces 87 hp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The manual variant comes with a 5-speed gearbox and is priced at 608,000 PHP (INR 8.16 lakhs), while the automatic variant gets a 4-speed torque converter and is priced at 648,000 PHP (INR 8.7 lakhs).
