For a price of INR 10.8 lakhs, Mahindra was offering the W4 XUV with the same seating configuration and engine specification as the higher models. However, in terms of features, the W4 saw the deletion of infotainment display, DVD player, driver information system, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic wipers and headlights, front foglights, climate control system, 8-way adjustable driver’s seat (the W4 gets a 6-way adjustable seat instead), cruise control and steering mounted controls.

According to the Nepali media, the W4 will be priced at 47.5 lakh Nepalese rupee (INR 29 lakhs). The W6 variant in Nepal is priced at about 51 lakh Nepalese rupee (INR 30 lakhs). Mahindra cars in Nepal are sold by Agni Incorporated, Mahindra's authorized distributor in that region.

Sales of the XUV500 have continued to remain strong with Mahindra selling an average of 3,300 XUVs a month (Jan-March 2014 period). The XUV500 lineup starts with the entry-level W4, the mid-level W6 and the top-end W8. The W8 can be had with 2WD or 4WD.
