The next couple of launches for KTM in India will be that of the RC390 and RC200. Earlier this year, Gaurav Rathore, Head of Sales, KTM India, told Indian Autos Blog that these bikes will be launched in the early half of this financial year.

The KTM RC390 is scheduled to go on sale in the early half of this financial year.

The RC series from KTM, which are basically the fully-faired versions of the Duke series of motorcycles, was revealed in November last year at the International Motorcycle Exhibition held in Milan, Italy.

The RC390 is powered by the same 375cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine found in the Duke 390. This motor produces 45 PS and 35 Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike was caught on test in Pune by Rahul Sali, a Motoroids reader.

Expect the RC390 to be priced about 15 percent more than the Duke 390.

The fairing aside, the RC390 sports a twin-headlight cluster, integrated turn signals on the wing mirrors, a redesigned tank, clip-on handlebars and rearsets. The same features are to be found in the RC200 as well.

The RC series is generally priced between 15-20 percent higher than the corresponding Duke models. This price equation is likely to be followed in India when these motorcycles are launched. The RC390 and RC200 will be made at Bajaj's factory located in Chakan, Maharashtra for local and export markets.
