Honda launched the Activa 125 today and it happens to be their most powerful scooter for India. The Activa 125 competes with the likes of the Suzuki Access and Mahindra Rodeo RZ. Take a look at our spec sheet to see how they stack up with each other.

Engine displacement wise, the Activa 125 is the largest but only by a small margin. Thus, the Honda does make the most power and torque compared to its rivals. While the Activa 125 makes 8.6 hp at 6,500 rpm, the Access produces 8.58 hp at a higher 7,000 rpm. The Rodeo produces 8.04 hp and 9 Nm of torque. All scooters transfer their power through a CVT gearbox.

The Activa is the longest, widest and tallest scooter here. When comparing the wheelbase, the Honda boasts 10 mm more length than its nearest rival which is the Access in this case.

Honda have done well to offer a front disc brake as an optional feature on the Activa 125. Suzuki and Mahindra offer only drum brakes on their scooters. Also seen on the disc brake variant of the Activa are alloy wheels, a feature which is missing on the Access and Rodeo.

In terms of price, the Activa is the most expensive, starting at INR 56,607, which is just a tad more than the Access at INR 56,498. The Rodeo in comparison starts at a substantially lower INR 43,243.
