Bajaj has launched three new body colors for the Pulsar 180. The new colors are dual-tone shades and are named 'Sapphire Blue', 'Pearl Metallic White', and 'Cocktail Wine Red'. While Cocktail Red is an existing color name the newer shade adds a dual-tone theme to it.

Bajaj has made no other changes, mechanical or cosmetic, to the Pulsar 180. The motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, DTS-i 178.6 cc engine producing 17.02 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

As for the suspension, the front features telescopic forks and the rear features a 5-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorber. Coming to the brakes, the front receives a 260 mm disc while the rear gets a 130 mm drum.

Of late, Bajaj has been focusing more on its Discover range of products as these products contribute the most to volumes. In 2013, Bajaj sold over 1.06 million units of Discovers while Pulsars contributed to over 0.61 million units.

However, the brand is expected to refocus on the Pulsar range this year. At the Auto Expo in February, Bajaj showcased the 400CS and 400SS concepts, and while the production versions of these bikes are expected during the course of this year and the next, the styling seen on them would eventually inspire successors to the Pulsar 150, 180 etc.
