Mercedes-Benz will reveal the facelifted CLS Class on June 23, according to a report from our well connected friends at Mercedes Passion Blog. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS Class facelift will be revealed in June, while sales in Europe will commence only in September.
Mercedes Passion claims that the facelift will come with a new Active Multi Beam Intelligent Light System with LED lighting, and that these headlights would be a bit superior compared to the Matrix LED lights seen on the 2014 Audi A8.
Apart from the lights, the refreshed CLS will sport a different grille, new front and rear bumpers and a new infotainment system.
In India, the Mercedes CLS is available as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) product offered with four engine options, two petrol and two diesel. The petrol range starts with a 3.5-liter V6 engine (CLS 350) producing 300 hp at 6,500 rpm and 370 Nm of torque between 3,500-5,250 rpm. The CLS 350 hits 100 km/h from rest in 6.1 seconds. The CLS 500 is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine outputting 400 hp and 600 Nm of torque. It takes only 5.2 seconds to do the 0-100 km/h run.
The CLS 250 CDI and CLS 350 CDI are the two diesel variants available in India. The 250 is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder churning 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque, while the 350 gets a 3.0-liter V6 producing 260 hp and 620 Nm of torque.
The CLS in India competes with the Audi A7 and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe.
