The new Santa Fe will launch at the Auto Expo on February 5th.

The Santa Fe in India will be available only as a five-seater, since the three-row, seven-seater Grand Santa Fe is made only in left hand drive configuration. The images here show the automatic transmission variant of the Santa Fe. However, a manual gearbox variant will also be available.

The Santa Fe will be launched in 2WD and 4WD guises. Regardless, all variants will be powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter CRDi engine capable of producing 197 PS at 3,800 rpm and 44.5 kgm of torque between 1,800-2,500 rpm.

The Santa Fe will be a feature-packed SUV with the top-end variants getting a 12-way adjustable seat, dual-zone automatic climate control (seen in picture), 6 airbags, chilled glovebox, daytime running lights, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights.

According to an earlier report, Hyundai will locally assemble the SUV at its Chennai facility out of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits. We expect prices to start from INR 23 lakhs ex-Showroom.

Thats a little disappointing. The seven seater would have been a killer. 🙁
