Maruti Celerio Spec sheet leaked

Just to recap about Maruti’s new offering, the B1 segment hatchback will be powered by the same engine used on the A-Star: the three-cylinder, 1.0-liter KB10 motor produces 67 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 9.1 kgm of torque at 3,500 rpm. Maruti will offer the Celerio with a 5-speed manual transmission and a new automated manual transmission (AMT) it calls ‘EZ Drive’.

Bookings for the car are underway with demo cars arriving at various dealerships throughout the country. It will be available in three trim levels – LXi, VXi and ZXi. Going by this report, the AMT will be offered in LXi and ZXi trims.

The bare-bones Celerio LXi comes with a manual AC and power steering as standard. The Celerio LXi AMT will add a tachometer and a gear-position indicator to the features list. The mid-level Celerio VXi gets central locking and power windows in addition to the LXi model.
