Report - Hyundai begins roll out of Verna facelift in China

Hyundai has rolled out the first unit of the Verna facelift in China. The new Verna will have its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April and its Chinese launch around the same time, says a report on Chinese news portal iFeng Auto.

The facelift gets a different grille with two parallel chrome strips, differently styled headlamps with an LED component and ditches the reverse-L shaped foglamps for a more standard shape.

The Hyundai Verna facelift measures 4,375 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, 1,460 mm in height and gets a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. A large portion of the Verna hasn't changed for the facelift, and dimensionally the car is longer by 5 mm thanks to the new bumper.

As for engines the Verna facelift will get the same 1.4-liter petrol engine that makes 104 hp and a 1.6-liter petrol engine that makes 123 hp, both connected either to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

In India, the Verna uses a 1.4-liter petrol engine that makes 107 PS and a 1.6-liter petrol engine making 123 PS, besides the 1.4-liter diesel engine that develops 90 PS and a range-topping 1.6-liter diesel engine that delivers 128 PS.
