Tata Motors will soon launch the Vista Tech. To put it simply, the Vista Tech is the current Vista with features coming in from the now discontinued Vista D90.

The Vista Tech will be launched with the TDI and Quadrajet engines.

We suspect that with the arrival of the refreshed Vista (codenamed Falcon 4), the Vista Tech will be like a second fiddle for Tata in the premium hatchback segment (think of the Vista Tech as the Micra Active).

Tata will launch the Vista Tech in four variants - LS TDI, LS Quadrajet, LX TDI and VX Tech Quadrajet. The LS TDI and LX TDI are powered by the 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 71 PS and 135.4 Nm of torque. The other variants draw their power from the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter MultiJet engine producing 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. Tata has stopped offering this engine in the 90 PS guise.

The top-end Vista Tech VX will get features such as ABS with EBD, touchscreen multimedia system with satellite navigation, keyless entry and steering integrated audio controls.

Tata engineers have also carried out a list of improvements to the Vista Tech. The Tech gets a new clutch master cylinder which promises easier use for the driver. Thanks to a new Dual Path Suspension, the Vista Tech will weigh 4 kg lighter than the Vista while offering better driving dynamics.

The rack and pinion has also been upgraded for reduced steering effort. Apart from this, the door locks on the car claim to be more reliable, while Teflon coated headliners may prevent dust from accumulating on the interior of the Tech.
