Team I.C.E has posted these spyshots of the 2014 Honda City on their Facebook page. The car has already begun arriving at dealers. Seen here is not the top-end VX model with sunroof, but a lower V variant powered by the 1.5-liter diesel engine.
While we spent a day driving the new City diesel, petrol and CVT, our media vehicles were top-end VX variants and Honda did not disclose the other variants, or variant-wise features.
From these images, we can confirm that the lower V model gets alloy wheels, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, Bluetooth integration, 5-inch display with AUX-in, iPod and USB, and touchscreen control for the automatic AC.
Features such as the sunroof, rear AC vents, leather wrapped steering & gearlever, and leather seats are missing on this variant.
The City diesel that you see here is India's most fuel efficient car with an ARAI rated 26 km/l. The 1.5L i-DTEC produces 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque, while the transmission is handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The new City will go on sale in January 2014, and prices for the car will be announced then. However, dealers have already commenced the pre-bookings for the car.
