Report - Triumph's first Indian dealership takes shape in Bangalore

Triumph is all set to enter India on November 28th and the Leicestershire-based company will begin CKD (Completely Knocked Down) assembly of some of their motorcycles at their plant in Manesar, Haryana.

Team BHP member 'livyodream' has uploaded this image of Triumph's first Indian dealership, which is taking shape in the city of Bangalore (on Residency Road). Going forth, Triumph will open dealerships in New Delhi and Mumbai as well, while dealer outlets in other major Indian cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin, Ahmedabad, etc, would commence operations in early 2014. The company has appointed Mr. Vimal Sumbly, former General Manager of Sales at Bajaj Auto, as the brand head in India.

Triumph's Indian lineup is expected to start with the Bonneville (which was shown at the 2012 Auto Expo wearing a INR 5.5 lakhs price tag) and extend to the top-end Rocket III. Other bikes that could be part of Triumph's Indian lineup include the Street Triple, Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Tiger 800 XC and Storm.

At the recent International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy, Triumph released a sketch of what could be their upcoming 250cc Made-in-India motorcycle. Details about this bike were not shared, with the company only revealing that it would commence sales in 2015.
