Skoda cars in China are produced at three locations. Plants in Anting and Yizheng make the Fabia, Rapid, Octavia and Yeti, while a new plant in Ningbo, Southern China, commenced production of the Superb this October. Next year, Skoda will commence the Chinese production of the new 2013 Octavia and the new Rapid Spaceback that was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show a couple of months ago.

Currently, 25% of Skoda's global sales come from China.

Skoda CEO Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland said -

Skoda cars are arriving in China. We have hit the million mark with only three models sold in the country. With the expansion of our product range and increased capacity, we will continue to grow in China in the coming years. SVW is a reliable and competent partner for Skoda. The evidence for this successful collaboration is the number of over one million cars produced in only six years. This joint success story we will continue.
