A couple of months after the Dacia Duster facelift was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the refreshed Renault Duster is here. This is the version that will come to India, and here are the first images.

What Renault have basically done, is to replace the Dacia badge with the Renault Lozenge, and alter the honeycomb-like chrome grille to a simpler dual-slat chrome grille, and voila, your Renault branded Duster facelift is ready!

The new headlights are carried over from the Dacia version and should sport the “double-optic” units with integrated daytime running lamps. Other new design elements on the softroader include Duster-branded roof rails with slatted supports, and 16-inch “Dark Metal” alloys that are wrapped with “Mud and Snow” tires.

At the rear, save for the badge replacement, Renault designers didn't have any work to do. The differently detailed taillights, chrome-tipped exhaust pipe, and a new font for the 4X4 badge are the bulk of the changes here.

Inside, the Renault Duster facelift receives updates such as steering-integrated controls, a new instrument cluster, new center console with Renault's infotainment system and a center armrest with an included storage box.

Based on these images, Renault have also carried over the new color that was available to the Dacia version. What we don't know is whether the Renault-branded Duster gets the 1.2-liter TCe turbocharged engine, which was introduced on the Dacia version. The other engines, a 1.6-liter petrol and the 1.5-liter K9K diesel, continue unchanged.

More details as and when we receive them, stay tuned!
